Live Playable Steam Demo (App ID 5224010)
Launched October 15, 2026 ahead of Steam Next Fest and Steam Scream Fest. Ranked #13 in Valve's official Top 50 Most-Played Demos chart and remains active for 5-player lobby testing.
HANDS OVER is a 5-player online psychological horror and tabletop party game developed and published by ArtDock (ARTDOCK COMPANY SRL) on Steam. Up to five captives sit around an iron-rimmed wooden table inside a blood-stained slaughterhouse barn, where childhood luck-and-nerve games are re-engineered into lethal mechanical contraptions overseen by the scarred Butcher host.

In HANDS OVER, safe deterministic patterns do not exist. Whether your five-player table is confronting the barbed-wire Mechanical Jaws fanged tooth press, cranking the chain pulley on the Hand-Crank Organ Grinder, timing peg movements beneath the Porcelain Doll Signal Tower, or bracing for a Butcher Cleaver Five-Finger Fillet strike, every turn forces a direct physical gamble with your captive hands.
Unlike single-elimination party games where a single unlucky trigger sends you back to the main menu, HANDS OVER separates non-lethal hand maiming from full match elimination. Losing a hand or suffering a device penalty transitions your captive into a wounded one-handed survival state, permanently altering how you hold cards, absorb table pressure, and negotiate alliances across the barn.
Even when a player exhausts their final survival threshold or takes a fatal blow from the Butcher's flat iron shovel or sawed-off double-barreled shotgun, they are not removed from the room. Eliminated captives remain seated in their wooden barn chairs as glowing pale-blue translucent Ghost Spectators who can watch every hidden play and taunt surviving rivals with first-person hand emotes, including the signature middle-finger gesture.

Every round in HANDS OVER follows a disciplined three-stage mechanical cycle around the circular five-seat wooden table. Understanding when priority passes—and when opponents can interfere—is the foundation of surviving multiple trials.

Before committing a hand to the centerpiece contraption, players can play Influence Cards from their hand of black jaw-crested cards. Cards can shift underlying trigger probabilities, arm a personal defensive shield, rig a covert trap on the device for the next seat, or directly sabotage a designated rival. Keeping 2–4 unplayed cards fanned on the table beside the orange tabby cat also acts as a psychological deterrent.
The active captive must physically interact with the trial apparatus: pressing a glowing white tooth inside the barbed-wire Mechanical Jaws, rotating the right-hand chain crank on the Organ Grinder, holding peg discipline when the Porcelain Doll Signal Tower flips from green to red, or enduring the Between-Finger Cleaver Fillet. Across the table, four rivals watch your hesitation and line-of-sight tells.
If the contraption passes cleanly, turn priority advances to the next seat. If a trapped tooth or over-cranked pulley triggers—or if a rigged card unleashes the blood-splattered Feral Baby Doll throat ambush—the active player suffers either a persistent hand wound (forcing one-handed play) or execution by the Butcher, remaining at the table as a pale-blue translucent Ghost Spectator.
